    As the world marks the breast cancer awareness month, a section of oncologists has urged Kenyans to prioritize regular cancer screening for early treatment. According to data released by the Ministry of Health for the year 2024, an estimated 7000 new cases are reported annually. Speaking after a free cancer screening exercise at Kiambu Level 5 Hospital in partnership with RFH Hospital, Dr Martha Wamathai, a cancer specialist at the facility, said most patients are diagnosed at advanced stages.
