More than 75,955 learners in Homa Bay County have begun sitting for the Kenya Junior Secondary Education Assessment (KJSEA) and the Kenya Primary Schools Education Assessment (KPEA) under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) Chief Executive Officer Professor Charles Ong’ondo led the launch, describing the exercise as a historic step in implementing the new education system.
