The Kenya Environmental Health and Public Health Practitioners Union (KEH & PHPU) is calling for the urgent employment of additional public health officers in Laikipia County. speaking during the inaugural elections for the union, the National Secretary General, Brown Achira, stated that focusing on preventive healthcare would free counties from diseases that drain financial resources. The union also emphasised the need to convert contracted staff to permanent employment and to establish a regular replacement system for officers who retire or pass away.
