National Heroes Council in partnership with Kenya Defence Forces and Kitengela Gk prisons have joined forces to plant 5000 trees in the institution in observance of Mazingira day. The council Chief Executive Officer Charles Wambia who led the tree planting exercise in Kitengela Gk prison in Kajiado County, highlighted the importance of environmental conservation, as the globe increasingly deals with the effects of climate change.
