County government of Kilifi enacts law to regulate operations

The county government of Kilifi has come up with laws to regulate the operations of Savings and Credit Co-operative Societies in the area.The Kilifi Director of Co-operatives Mary Mkare says the Kilifi County Cooperative Act 2023 which has already been assented to by Governor Gedion Mung’aro is crucial in streamlining the SACCO sector and cushioning members from exploitation.
