Residents of Kibuline in Imenti East, Meru County, are living in fear after elephants from the nearby Lower Imenti Forest invaded their farms at dawn, destroying crops and threatening lives. The farmers, who rely entirely on agriculture, said the invasion left them counting heavy losses. They are now calling on the Kenya Wildlife Service to contain the jumbos within the forest and provide a lasting solution to prevent further attacks. The affected residents are also demanding compensation for the destruction caused.
