KPSEA and KJSEA kick off countrywide

The inaugural administration of the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment-KJSEA epitomizes the shift from the 8-4-4 curriculum to the new Competency-Based-Curriculum with the focus now shifting from examinations to routine assessements. The Kenya National Examinations Council Chairperson Prof. Julius Nyabundi says the move is meant to relieve pressure- off learners, through the administration of continuous assessments in the place of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education KCPE, which has since been phased out.
