MPs want affordable housing project contractors to employ more youths

The National Assembly Housing and Urban Development Committee now wants contractors implementing the affordable housing projects to scale up the number of human workforce at the sites. During an inspection of various sites in Nairobi County, the Committee observed that contractors had reduced manpower despite receiving timely payments from the government. Members of Parliament, however, noted the housing project was progressing within the stipulated timelines.
