President Ruto declares seven days of national mourning following Raila's death

President William Ruto has declared seven days of mourning following the death of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. In a proclamation issued Wednesday from State House, Nairobi, the President ordered the national flag to be flown at half-mast across the country and in all Kenyan missions abroad until the day of Odinga’s burial. Describing him as a once-in-a-generation leader and a fearless reformer, President Ruto said Raila’s life and legacy will continue to shape Kenya’s destiny for generations to come.
