Women in Kilifi county have been urged to conduct regular self-examination for breast cancer. Researchers from Aga Khan University have emphasized that regular self-examinations can help women identify unusual changes in their breasts at an early stage, enabling them to seek medical attention before the disease advances to more severe stages.Speaking during a Breast Cancer Care dissemination meeting, experts and cancer survivors said there is a need for increased awareness and self-examination practices to empower women to take proactive steps toward safeguarding their health. The experts revealed that breast cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths among women in Kenya.
