The looming nationwide doctors’ strike that was set to kick off this Sunday on December 22 has been averted. In a deal brokered by deputy president Kithure Kindiki the medics have agreed to call off their strike just in the nick of time and spared the health sector, which is still reeling from a 56- day doctors strike earlier this year. The deal brokered by the deputy president will see intern doctors take home 206,000 per month as per the 2017 CBA
