High court judge Chacha Mwita has directed that lawyer Apollo Mboya’s petition challenging professor Adams Oloo's appointment to the IEBC selection panel be served to the respondents. Apollo argues that Oloo’s role as a presidential advisor creates a conflict of interest and seeks orders barring him from serving and suspending the panel’s activities. He claims Oloo’s dual roles violate the separation of powers and undermine the IEBC ACT. The petition argues that Oloo cannot impartially represent the Parliamentary Service Commission while advising the Presidency.
