"The decision to have four core subjects—Languages, Community Services, and Physical Education (P.E.)—while removing Mathematics is tragic. In curricula all over the world, the foundational subjects are Mathematics, Languages, and Sciences. Mathematics is essential to life, and we can't live without it. They need to reintroduce the STEM pathway, allowing students to continue studying pure mathematics as a requirement, as well as applied mathematics. For other students, mathematics should be compulsory, with a curriculum designed to include applicable and relevant forms of mathematics based on their specific pathways." - Wilson Sossion, Former Secretary General, KNUT
