A somber mood engulfed Shikoti village in Lurambi constituency, Kakamega County, following the discovery of the floating body of a one-and-a-half-year-old baby in a river near her home. According to the deceased minor's parents, Elizabeth Nanjala and Fredrick Kutekha, they left the child playing with her friends and went to church only to return to the news of her death. Police have since launched investigations into the incident.
