President William Ruto joined other heads of state and government in the inauguration of Namibia’s first female President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah. Previously the Vice President, Nandi-Ndaitwah secured 58 percent of the vote in the November elections, which were extended several times after logistical failures led to major delays. President Ruto says Kenya looks forward to working closely with Namibia to further deepen the strong bilateral ties for the mutual benefit of the two nations.
