A section of Mount Kenya MPs are urging residents in the region to welcome the president during his weeklong tour of duty in the region. Led by National Assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichung'wa, the leaders who have retreated to their backyards to plan the development tour say the region is ready to welcome the President. According to I’chungwa, the tour will also provide an opportunity for the president to highlight the progress of development projects in the region before and after the 2022 polls.
