    Low public sector funding in agriculture and climate change have been cited as main challenges in the war against hunger and poverty in the country. Speaking during the dissemination of the 4th Biennial Review Report to the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development IGAD member states in Nairobi, the stakeholders, led by Dr. Sylvia Henga from IGAD, also underscored the need for responsive policies that enhance competitiveness and facilitate trade. The 4th Biennial Review Report serves as a mutual accountability mechanism to track progress towards the Malabo declaration commitments that include reducing poverty and ending hunger by 2025 among the IGAD member states.
