A sombre mood engulfed Thuita Village in Mathioya Constituency, Murang’a County, as family and friends gathered to bid farewell to two young siblings. Seven-year- old Precious Wanjiku Mwangi and her one and a half year old brother, Promise Ngariuri Mwangi, were laid to rest in the same grave as their father, Peter Mwangi, watched in disbelief. The two siblings lost their lives after their mother allegedly threw them into River Mathioya in Kiharu Constituency. The mother is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
