Dr Esther Muoria has called on Vocational institutions to focus on practical skills, research and innovation. Speaking at the National Technical Vocational Education fair Muoria noted that this will ensure students innovate ideas that will generate income as opposed to waiting to be employed after the completion of their studies.Kiambu National Polytechnic Chief Principal Sammy Waititu, who was the host, noted that the management has taken major steps in empowering students to excel in skills and innovation. The polytechnic was among the vocational training institutions that participated in the fair and scooped most of the trophies.
