Approximately 5000 youths from Kakamega county have completed a four-day business training workshop funded by the national government. The training was conducted ahead of the disbursement of funds under the NYOTA programme a partnership between the Government of Kenya and the World Bank. The youth pledged to put the funds to good use, including creating employment opportunities with continued support.They said the training had been beneficial, equipping them with vital entrepreneurship skills to effectively manage the KSh 50,000 capital to start or boost their businesses.
