Kisii Central Deputy County Commissioner Joseph Mwangi has called on parents to prioritize their children’s wellbeing and protect them against drug abuse and other vices during the long holiday season.Mwangi noted that lack of parental guidance, especially for students who have completed their Kenya Junior School Education Assessment, exposes them to negative peer influence and other hazardous activities that could lead to school dropouts. He further urged the learners to use the holiday period wisely by engaging in constructive activities and staying disciplined, so they can resume studies smoothly when schools reopen in January.
