The government has denied reports of an impending increase in boarding schools fees for senior secondary schools from January next year. Speaking in Machakos while overseeing the distribution of Kenya certificate of secondary education examination papers, education cabinet secretary Julius Migos Ogamba dismissed a report 'guidelines for the implementation of senior secondary school education' released earlier in the week saying that there was no new circular or directive issued to alter the existing fee structure in public schools. Ogamba said the fees structure which has been in place since 2021 remains in force until schools are otherwise directed.
