Muslim faithful in Mandera seek divine intervention following delayed rains

The Muslim faithful in Mandera County have embarked on countrywide prayers following the prolonged dry spell and the delayed rains in the region. The prayers that cut across all the Mosques in the county sought Devine intervention in what is now turning into crisis with a number of livestock reported dying due to drought. The county government has meanwhile upscaled mitigation measures among them water trucking and fodder distribution to the affected villages.
