Ministry of Environment Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya, has warned Kenyans who are destroying forests and other natural resources that they will face serious action. Speaking during a meeting with environmental stakeholders in Nairobi, the CS says the government will be hiring more than 2,000 forest rangers, to protect forests and wetland areas, even as the ministry leads in the 50 billion trees drive. Kenyans have been urged to plant up to 30 trees per person per year, in order to achieve the goal.
