Agricultural experts are urging the government to fast-track the adoption of technology as a cornerstone of agricultural policy, warning that without it, Kenya’s food security ambitions will remain a pipe dream. At the 18th Agri-business Trade Fair hosted by the University of Eldoret, the government was urged to ignore the naysayers and empower farmers to embrace modern farming techniques. The media, too, was challenged to take a leading role in spotlighting the transformative power of smart agriculture.
