President William Ruto has announced that teachers will be allocated 20 per cent of the Affordable Housing units for their contribution to the scheme. During the Waalimu Na Rais Forum at State House, Nairobi, on Saturday, the President revealed that teachers contribute 13 per cent to the housing levy, amounting to 900 million shillings monthly, and hence deserved to benefit from the program. As Abdiaziz Hashim now tells us Ruto has directed an end to the delocalization of teachers instructing the relevant bodies to ensure it has been scrapped off entirely.
