Police recruitment exercise postponed indefinitely

Recruitment of 10,000 police constables scheduled to kick off tomorrow, Friday, 3rd October, has been postponed indefinitely. This follows a court ruling by Lady Justice Hellen Wasilwa of the Employment and Labour Relations Court, who suspended the exercise pending the hearing of a case challenging the validity of the exercise. The National Police Service, in a statement, pledged to pursue appropriate legal remedies even as they announced the postponement of the countrywide recruitment exercise.
