The village where the blind are in charge - BBC Africa
Across Sub-Saharan Africa, more than 100 million live with some form of sight loss. In Uganda alone, more than 3 million are affected. Those in rural areas often struggle to receive adequate eye care. The BBC’s Agnes Penda visited a community of blind and visually impaired people in eastern Uganda who came together to support one another. They say that, united, their disability became their source of strength.
