Across Sub-Saharan Africa, more than 100 million live with some form of sight loss. In Uganda alone, more than 3 million are affected. Those in rural areas often struggle to receive adequate eye care. The BBC’s Agnes Penda visited a community of blind and visually impaired people in eastern Uganda who came together to support one another. They say that, united, their disability became their source of strength. 🎤: Agnes Penda 🎥: Njoroge Muigai, Hasham Cheema 🎞️: Ellen Tsang Producer: Hasham Cheema Subscribe: http://bit.ly/subscribetoafrica Website: https://www.bbc.com/africa Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bbcnewsafrica/ Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/bbcafrica/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bbcafrica/
