The Migori County government in partnership with the national government, has launched a major initiative to connect all health facilities in the county to electricity. This effort aims to address the power needs of over 60 health facilities that are currently operating without power.According to Samwel Atula, the Chief Officer in the Department of Health, these facilities have been relying on solar power. The recent re-connection to the national grid has brought muchneeded relief to the local community which had faced difficulties accessing healthcare services during the prolonged power outage.
