Barina Self Help Group Land Project members have appealed to the government to offer protection as the process to begin subdivision of their 4803-acre piece of land in Solai area of Rongai in Nakuru County kicks off.The group secretary Mwati Kariuki said, the group had cleared payment of Sh85 million to the previous land owner by 2006 and could not settle immediately after due to the 2007/08 Post-Election Violence . They have since received six court orders to settle on their land since 2006 but have been facing challenges in resettling owing to security challenges.
