Residents of the border towns of Holugho and Bothai in Ijara Sub-County Garissa County and their Kulbiyo counterparts in the neighboring Somalia are reaping the fruits of a peace building program dubbed Deris Wanaag which means mean good neighborhood.The program brings together representatives from the border towns and security agencies to foster good working relations for peaceful coexistence. 9 months since its inception, residents say insecurity incidents have reduced and more development projects have been initiated.
