Police have confiscated and destroyed more than 20 coin slot gambling machines in Athi River and Mlolongo after an intensified campaign against gambling prompted by the outcry of members of the public.Machakos County Commissioner, Josephine Ouko, cautioned people against spending their hard earned money on gambling. The gambling machines are said to harbour crime as idle youths flock to the premises which are allegedly located in backstreets.
