University lecturers union calls members back on strike

    Learning in public universities has been paralyzed yet again after lecturers resumed their nationwide strike on Tuesday, accusing the government of failing to implement the return to work formula they signed last month. Speaking at Technical University of Kenya in Nairobi, University Academic Staff Union (UASU) Secretary General Constantine Wasonga vowed that the strike will only end if lecturers receive the 7-10 percent salary increment agreed in their 2021-2025 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
