The Federation of Women Lawyers, has called for urgent action from authorities following the recent spate of femicide cases in the country. According to FIDA, since January this year 30 women have died in the hands of their intimate partners but the crimes have been treated casually. The Federation wants President William Ruto to declare femicide a national crisis.
