A somber mood has engulfed Ikoli village in Malava Constituency, Kakamega County, following the murder of a 73-year-old man over an alleged land dispute. According to the deceased’s daughter, Rose Ititi, a gang of unknown assailants stormed their homestead at midnight and killed the old man. One of his wives was injured and is in critical condition. It is alleged that the deceased was embroiled in a dispute with his brothers over ancestral land and had denied them access to the title deed.
