AUC Race I Will Raila carry the day come next week?

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has expressed strong confidence in being appointed African Union Council Chairman. Raila says backed by the government, he has put up a solid campaign to convince member states he is the best fit for the job. If elected, Raila says his primary focus would be to harness Africa’s vast resources, including its minerals, to improve the livelihoods of the people. Two other candidates namely Mahamoud Ali Youssouf of Djibouti and Richard Randriamandrato of Madagascar will vie for the seat on Saturday 15th of February 2025.
