Banissa Sub-county Referral Hospital in Mandera has successfully performed the first caesarean Section. This comes after the hospital was upgraded to a Level 4 referral facility with the aim of improving maternal healthcare and emergency services to the residents of Banissa constituency. Our reporter Tess Mutai has details of the win for mothers in the constituency more than 60 years after independence.
