Busia County government has partnered with Dhamira Moja, a community-based organisation, to provide environmental conservation and climate action education to local youth.
The initiative is aimed at addressing climate change challenges, particularly flooding, which has significantly impacted residents of Budalangi. Speaking after signing a memorandum of understanding at the governor's office, the county secretary, John Oscar, said the partnership signifies a commitment to empowering youth with knowledge and skills to mitigate and adapt to climate change impacts within their community through educational programs and practical training.
