Civil Servants union calls off anti-SHA strike

Public sector unions in the Country have called off a strike notice issued two weeks ago after the government's reassurance that their rights to medical cover will be safeguarded during the transition from the defunct National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) to the new Social Health Authority (SHA). The unions and Government also signed an agreement to ensure all employees who worked under NHIF are absorbed into the new Social Health Authority.
