The Kenya Environmental Health and Public Health Practitioners Union(KEHPHPU) has called on both the National and County Governments to prioritize the employment of public health nurses.Speaking during the election of officials in Baringo, the union’s National Secretary General, Brown Ashira noted that the acute shortage of public health nurses was a matter of concern and should be addressed to strengthen disease prevention efforts in Kenya. His sentiments were echoed by Evans Cherogony, the newly elected Secretary General for the Baringo branch, who urged Governor Benjamin Cheboi of Baringo County to hire more public health nurses.
