The world is likely to miss the global goal to double energy efficiency by 2030 which is a commitment adopted at COP 28 in the United Arab Emirates. This has been said by the coalition of countries, businesses and organizations attending the COP 29 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The development comes as thousands of climate change activists took to the streets in Baku to press rich nations to send more grants to the global south which is feeling the heat and the cold of climate change.
