A new dormitory has been opened at the Nyakome Friends School in Marani, Kisii County, to meet the demand for accommodation for some 80 hearing-impaired children at the school. Built for three million Shillings, the facility comes as a relief to the school, which has had to contend with limited infrastructure despite providing care and education to the vulnerable group. The dormitory was constructed courtesy of the National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya.
