Eastleigh residents rejoice as long neglected road is finally tarmacked

Eastleigh’s 8th Street in Airbase Ward is a buzz of activities. From kids playing on the new tarmac to vendors hawking their goods, everyone is busy. Residents along this street are elated after it was finally given a major facelift by the Nairobi County government, following years of neglect and abandonment. For many years, 8th Street remained dilapidated, with sewage literally running on the road. Moving around this area was a big problem, traders suffered losses as potential customers kept off.
