As the world marks International Women’s Day, this year’s theme, ‘Accelerating Action’, calls for urgent and decisive steps toward gender equality. In Kenya, one of the key battles remains the attainment of the two-thirds gender rule, which aims to ensure that no more than two-thirds of elected or appointed officials are of the same gender.
