The Environment and Lands Court (ELC) in Nairobi has ordered the closure of three nightclubs and a church in Mirema, Kasarani due to noise pollution. The Judgment by Justice Judy Omange follows a petition filed by Amani Residents Welfare Association Mirema in 2022. As Ruth Wamboi reports, the license issued to the three clubs for the sale of alcoholic beverages within a residential area has also been revoked with the Judge ordering relevant government authorities to ensure the directive has been implemented.
