Residents of Garissa town are counting losses after a heavy morning downpour submerged homes, roads and businesses, bringing activities to standstill. Traders are worried because they have no assurance of going back to work anytime soon while the residents are figuring out other places to stay after floods destroyed their homes. The residents are pleading with the county Government of Garissa to fix the drainage system to alleviate the destruction.
