Misuse of antibiotic medicines in humans and animals has been termed as one of the causes of antimicrobial resistance which is among the emerging global health concerns. During the training of Kajiado-based journalists conducted in Kajiado county by the Kenya Red Cross Society, medics and veterinary doctors, the journalists and other key health stakeholders were urged to be at the forefront in educating the society on the importance of seeking medical care from health facilities as opposed to self-medication.
