Artisanal and small-scale miners in Migori County have been urged to use protective gear to reduce the risk of contracting Tuberculosis (TB). During a health stakeholders ' workshop held in Migori town, Migori County Chief Officer of Health Mable Chanzu, emphasized the need for improved working conditions for miners. She said in 2024, 191 TB cases were reported among miners, representing 10 percent of the over 2,000 TB cases reported across the county.
