President William Ruto says the reforms instituted at the Kenya Forest Service two years ago are finally paying off with illegal logging reducing by 90 per cent in the same period.The Head of State further revealed that Kenya Forest Service now largely runs its operations from internally generated revenue hence reducing dependency on the Exchequer. President Ruto says that the trajectory should be emulated by other government agencies. He spoke during the graduation of Kenya Forest Service inspector cadets and forester trainees at the National Youth Service headquarters in Gilgil, Nakuru County.
