President William Ruto has nominated acting Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja Kirocho for the positon of inspector general. Subsequently, the president has appointed Gilbert Masengeli to take over as the acting inspector general pending approval of Kanja. Masengeli had yesterday been appointed the Deputy Inspector in charge of Administration Police while Eliud Kipkoech Langat has been appointed deputy inspector generals in charge of the National Police Service.
